TRUCKERSUCKER.COM CLASSIC WEBCAM SETUP
This webcam program is no longer supported by microsoft or by truckersucker.com, you can use it if you wish yet it is not being updated.

Try using the NEW version of truckersucker.com and the modern webcam configuration that is now supported.



1. LOAD AND INSTALL SOFTWARE

STANDARD MEMBERS RECEIVE VIP BENEFITS WHILE BROADCASTING THEIR CAM! This includes Viewing other members cams, viewing abridged profiles, and access to the email function so you may email members who may be offline.



WINDOWS ONLY!!!, We apologize, Mac is not yet supported - You must load and install the tspack to your computer. Once you do this, you will notice three new icons on your desktop, resembling the ones below (labeled ts(1), ts(5), and ts(15). Remember: DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, AND RESTART.



WINDOWS MEDIA ENCODER AND MEDIA PLAYER UPDATE OR DOWNLOAD, If you already have these windows components installed on your computer you may choose to update with current version, or simply use the version that you have installed. If you do not have these components installed, click on the icons below and download and install them. Remember: DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, AND RESTART.




 
RESTART YOUR COMPUTER, Check for the new circular ts icons on your desktop, if they are not there, simply navigate to the file where you downloaded them to and click on them to start the install, restart your computer once installed.
 


2. CONFIGURE ENCODER
BE SURE THAT YOUR WEBCAM IS PLUGGED INTO YOUR PC, Choose one of the 3 new shortcuts on your Desktop: "ts(1).wme", "ts(5).wme" and "ts(15).wme". Choose one depending on your PC performance and network quality: "ts(1).wme" for older PC with low performance (Pentium 3) and poor connection (to have 1 frames per second in your videostream), or "ts(5).wme" for better PC and better bandwidth, or "ts(15).wme" for high performance PC (Pentium 4 or Celeron 4) and good bandwidth (to have 15 frames per second). · Press the chosen .wme icon to start the encoder. If the cam is plugged in correctly, you will see the image in the Input window.

If the encoder did not pick up your cam, and there is no image in the window, you will need to click the properties button, use the source tab to configure your cam. You may alternatively choose to broadcase a video from your DVD Rom drive or a video from file on your computer. Caution, your probably do not want to broadcast your screen capture, this will broadcast what you are viewing on your screen. If you choose to broadcast video files, you will need to select "roll over to next source" on all files except your last file, for the last file you load you will either select to "roll over to first source" to replay your video stream or choose the "end" option to end the streaming video. Please pay attention to all copyright videos and do not broadcast such in public forum. .






 


3. SYNCHRONIZE YOUR PORT
 
To synchronize your port, you will click on the "properties" button, select the "output" tab. In the middle of the screen you will see your port number. This number must match your broadcasting port in your trucker messenger profile. Take note of the port number in your encoder and enter it into your profile by opening the trucker messenger, logging in with your messenger id and clicking the "MY PROFILE / Photos" button, you will enter the cam port from your encoder in the port field in your profile. The default for media encoder and the trucker messenger is set to 8080, yet this port may be taken on your computer. The fix is simple, if this port is occupied, simply use the "find free port" button and enter that new free port in your trucker profile. Find free port indicates an unoccupied port.

If the encoder did not pick up your cam, and there is no image in the window, you will need to click the properties button, use the source tab to configure your cam. You may alternatively choose to broadcase a video from your DVD Rom drive or video from file on your computer. Caution, your probably do not want to broadcast your screen capture, this will broadcast what you are viewing on your screen. .











4. START THE ENCODER
 
To start the encoder, simply click the green "start encoding" button on the encoder. You will now see the image that will be broadcast.

Notice, you can view both input and output on your encoder panel by using the "display" selector and choosing the "both" option, or simply, you may choose to view only the output or input options. .






5. SWITCH GAY TRUCKER WEBCAM ON
 
Go to your trucker messenger which you previously logged in to. Locate the "SWITCH WEBCAM ON" button located in the middle level navigation bar as shown below. Click this "SWITCH WEBCAM ON" button, you will experience a quick refresh of your screen and you will notice that the "CAM ONLINE" blue logo now appears in your profile on the 12 profile messenger display screen. You can now switch your cam on and off as desired, and your computer should save your configuration so that you will be able to broadcast whenever you are on the trucker messenger. Your configuration will also work for the other lifestyle messengers located at www.nutsworldwide.com as long as you set your port number in your profile to the port which you broadcast on (8080 default). When you shut the encoder down, you will be asked if you want to save the session, if you choose to save you will be saving a video file of your encoding session to your computers hard drive for future viewing.

If you experience a hesitate and then an error pop up "FAILED TO CONNECT TO YOUR WEBCAM", there is difficulty, please see troubleshooting below. .








6. TROUBLESHOOTING
 
If you receive a pop-up error box as shown below. Follow these steps to find a solution. .



  Troubleshooting Steps .

A. Check to make sure your encoder is encoding, do you see input and output image?

B. Did you synchronize your port? Port numbers must be identical. Maybe you had a typo when entering your port number.

C. Your firewall may be blocking the transmission. Turn off all firewalls to test this.

D. Are you using a wireless router? If so, you may need to allow the transmission on your DMZ panel. See Router configuration in Section 7.

E. Is your browser or your antivirus blocking the "media encoder" or our website "truckersucker.net/tsch"?





7. WIRELESS ROUTERS (CONFIGURE DMZ)
 
If you are connected to the internet on a system that uses a wireless router, chances are that you might need to configure the DMZ to allow for the cam to operate. Follow these steps to configure the IP that you are attempting to broadcast on a Belkin(TM) or Linksys(TM) wireless router. .

 
You will need to know your Private Ip address. To find this out, hit the start button on the bottom left side of your computer, go to the run option. in the RUN box that appears, type in cmd and then hit ok. A black box will appear on your screen, in that black box type ipconfig and then hit enter. You will get a feedback in the black box similar to the one below. Please take note of the last digit of the ip address line, in this case it is a 2. This is the digit that you will enter into your Belkin Private IP box or Linksys DMZ Host IP Address box as shown below. .



  Belkin (TM) products

You may visit the Belkin router troubleshooting page by clicking the belkin icon or you might try the steps we outline below.




A. Open a new browser window and type in the universal belkin Setup Utility Page, this will be only accessible from a coumputer that is connected through or to the belkin router. Type this address into your browser and click enter http://192.168.2.1 or click the Gateway Router Setup Utility icon below.




B.This will take you to the Belkin Setup Utility Website, specific for your connection, please choose the DMZ selection as noted below.




C. If your wireless network is password protected, you will need to enter that password, otherwise, simply click the "SUBMIT" button.






D. Now that you are in the DMZ control panel, you will need to switch the Last digit of the "private ip" field to the one that corresponds with the computer from which you are attempting to broadscast. It might be easiest to simply experimeent with Digits starting at "0" and working your way up. Its almost always that this only takes a few tries to find the port that corresponds with your coputer. After you switch the digit each time you will need to hit the "apply changes" button, and then attempt to "SWITCH WEBCAM ON" in the trucker messenger. Once you are successful at switching your webcam on, you may close the DMZ panel.



 
Linksys (TM) products

A. (Your Linksys router must be connected and operating for this to connect you to the DMZ page). Open a new browser window and type in the universal Linksys Setup Utility Page ip address as shown below. This will be only accessible from a coumputer that is connected through or to the Linksys router. Type this address into your browser and click enter http://192.168.1.1 or click here.

CONFIGURING YOUR BROWSER TO ALLOW TRUCKERSUCKER.COM AND THE TRUCKER MESSENGER, TRUCKERS VIDEOS AND TRUCKER CAMS
 
1. Additionally, in rare instances, you might need to configure your browser to allow or trust truckersucker.net and the trucker messenger. This can be done quite easily, as shown below.
 
A. Open a browser ( Either is ok, you might use internet explorer, firefox or one of many others. This can be described as "clicking on the big blue e" or "clicking on the orange fox" on your desktop.This will open a blank browser window, set on your homepage. From this point, click on the tools pull down located at the top, then choose the "internet options" selection.


 
B. A box similar to the one below will appear, click on the "Privacy" tab located at the top.


 
C. A box similar to the one below will appear, click on the "sites" button. Note: additionally you can click the settings button under the "pop up blocker" option and enter truckersucker.net and truckersucker.net/tsch to automatically allow pop-ups.


 
D. A box similar to the one below will appear, in the "address of website" field enter truckersucker.net then click "allow" and then click "ok".
